Prince Caspian Oysters.
A seafarer of noble shell and brave brine.
The Oyster
A prince among oysters.
Our Prince Caspian Oyster is a seafarer of noble shell and brave brine, striving for fairness. Fast and with firm meats he chases the seven seas, his spirit smooth and unwavering. His saltiness is matched by none, his sweetness is a gift. He is a prince.
Farmed on the same grant in Duxbury Bay since 2000, the Prince Caspian is our signature oyster — harvested to order and shipped fresh to your door, or found on the raw bars of some of New England’s finest restaurants.

Oh to be Prince Caspian, afloat upon the waves…
— Phish

The Name
Named for a Phish song. Named for a Narnia prince.
Our oysters are named for “Prince Caspian,” a song by Phish — which itself references the mythical prince of C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia. In Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia, the young prince reclaims his rightful kingdom from the shores of the sea. It felt like the right name for an oyster: noble, briny, and born from the water.
It’s a small piece of lore that makes a big difference. Whenever someone asks where the name comes from, the story starts — and that’s exactly how we like it.
